Cofounder and President of CEDROM-SNi, François Aird is also Chairman of the company's Board of Directors.
After studying management at École des hautes études commerciales in Montreal, he joined forces with Philippe Gélinas in 1984 to create A&G Conseil, a technology consulting firm. After being renamed Proximi-T, the company became part of Cossette in 2000.
In 1988, the development of graphical user interfaces and the arrival of a new storage medium – the CD-ROM– led them to found CEDROM Technologies. The company would merge several years later with Société nationale d’information (SNI) to become CEDROM-SNi.
In January 2000, François and his associates launched IXIASOFT, a company that stemmed from CEDROM-SNi's expertise in document indexing. IXIASOFT marketed software tools for managing XML and DITA documents.
In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Computer Research Institute of Montreal (CRIM), François has also chaired the Board of Directors at IXIASOFT and the Quebec Technology Association (AQT).
Vice-President, Business Development and Copyright Management
Mauricio Fernandez joined CEDROM-SNi in 1993. He graduated in marketing from École des hautes études commerciales in Montreal with a specialization in international management and has always had a keen interest in information.
During his career, he has held a variety of positions within the company, including Sales Manager and Vice-President, Sales and Publishing. He has also helped in defining the products we have brought to market and in managing our internal and external distribution channels.
In addition to overseeing business development, he heads the Copyright Management division and negotiates contracts with publishers based on his thorough knowledge of electronic publishing issues.
Director, Finance and Accounting
Lyne Bezeau joined CEDROM-SNi in 2006.
With nearly 20 years of experience and training in accounting and customer service, she has held various positions within CEDROM-SNi's Finance and Administration team.
Her professional qualities and commitment led to her appointment as Director, Finance and Accounting, which she has occupied officially since the beginning of 2013 after serving as acting director for more than a year. Lyne Bezeau manages the financial and accounting activities of the company's Canadian and French operations.
Vice-President, Legal Affairs
Éric F. Lemieux joined CEDROM-SNi in the summer of 2013 after working as an external legal consultant for the company for nearly 10 years.
A graduate of École des hautes études commerciales and Université de Montréal, Éric has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1989.
After a stint at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, he entered private practice, specializing in intellectual property and commercial law, particularly for producers of recorded music, live shows and television, as well as artists and IT companies.
Éric serves as CEDROM-SNi's legal counsel and is involved in the preparation of contracts that bind the company to its clients, partners and publishers.
In addition, he has retained a few clients outside the company and is a lecturer at Université du Québec à Montréal.
Philippe Bouffaut joined CEDROM-SNi in 2003.
He holds a Technological Higher Education Diploma (DEST) in management information systems and a diploma in information technology engineering from Université Paris XI. He also studied at the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, in Paris.
During his career, he worked for 15 years as Director of Technology and Product Manager in Europe, Africa and North America, where he gained extensive experience in technology and design.
Today, he is responsible for the development of press information products.
Mario Roy began working for CEDROM-SNi as an external consultant in business intelligence before officially joining the company in 2005.
Holding a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, he started his career with Proximi-T, an IT consulting firm. He went on to become Director of the Business Intelligence Unit at Fjord Interactive, a division of Cossette Communication Group.
Mario joined CEDROM-SNi as Technical Director before being named Vice-President, Operations. As the mastermind of our production chain, he oversees the company's technological infrastructure and administrative systems, as well as the quality assurance of our products and services.
